Cool Can two earpieces be paired simultaneously? - 01-25-2008, 06:21 PM

Have 7130e but may could change if it will work with another BB. Basically want one for caller ID feature and one to actually use for conversation. Is it possible?

No other option that I've seen would work for me. (at least not from what I tell from the reviews of the very possibilities) If you want more detail as to why I'm asking you can check out this post which at the time I'm writing this has yet to be responded to.

I asked this in the other post but I'll ask it again here because I'm curious. Am I the only one who thinks an easy to see caller id display with a separate earpiece would be a good idea?

Good Grief!! Two calls while you are trying to enjoy the slopes?!?!?!? Just enjoy your runs and listen to your voicemail later! Seriously, I would guess the technology could support this but I doubt anyone would develop something for just this purpose.

I hope you do find a way to make it work though!

Good luck!

i think the blackberry can only be paired to one device at a time. however, the technology exists for Bluetooth devices to be paired to multiple other devices at the same time, Plantronics does a great job doing this with some of their headsets. I have one and have it paired to two blackberries all the time, works like a charm.

Yeah, I was thinking of the Tire Pressure monitoring system on my car, it uses Blue Tooth to connect four monitors inside the tires to communicate with the Cars information center. It can technically be done I just don't know if they will find anything.

Now that we (the Blackberry community) have media players on our devices it would be nice to pair a couple of Motorola S9s to one device simultaneously so 2 or more people could listen to the same music or presentation. Just a thought.
