Default 8830 + Vista, always asks for drivers - 01-28-2008, 11:01 AM

Hello everyone

I'm currently using my 8830 with vista. I can sync via USB and Bluetooth without any problems.

The only thing is each time I pair my blackberry to my computer, it always asks twice for drivers... I always click on "Ask later" and continue on with my sync but it's a bit annoying.

I guess I could always click on "never ask again" since everything works anyway... But I don't like that

I tried searching the net and these forums for a solution, but I can't find one :(

My computer is a Asus G2S-B1 laptop with built-in bluetooth.

Any ideas?

Richard.

Default Vista Bluetooth issues with Blackberries - 01-29-2008, 09:43 PM

The issue you're having is related to Vista's limited support for some of the functionality on the BlackBerry. Some of the Bluetooth services offered by the phone do not have drivers in Vista. The only way to stop this annoyance is to ask the prompts to never appear again, as you mentioned.

Let me know if you have other questions about this.
