Default Cant sync with Linksys USB BT adapter - 02-07-2008, 11:17 AM

Here's my dilemma. I broke the usb connector on my BB 8800 therefor I cannot sync or backup data using a usb cable. I purchased a new BB off the internet, BUT I would like to backup the data from my old BB before I setup the new phone. I purchased a Linksys USBBT100 Bluetooth Adapter. My plan was to backup my Berry from Blackberry Manager using the BT connection. I installed the bluetooth drivers and successfully make a bluetooth connection from my phone to my laptop, but Blackberry Device Manager will not locate my phone as a bluetooth device. It give me the following error:
Blackberry Device Manager is unable to locate any Bluetooth devices that support Blackberry Bluetooth desktop services. Please verify that your device has been properly configured and click Search Again.

Can anyone help me??????

I would download the latest (Well almost) DeskTop Manager v2sp2 install and try again. It should work.
