Default Disable Internal SPP-Service (Serial Port Profile)

Please Login to Remove!

I am developing a java application which communicates over bluetooth with a bluetooth-module via serial port profile.
Since this module has kind of special behaviour (it always connects to the last paired device) and it's first listed SPP service i need some information about the blackberries SPP behaviour.

I don't own a blackberry on my own but I'd like to know which blackberries are supported by my application.

Now the questions:
  • Does a blackberry have an internal SPP service (e.g. for synchronization with PC) - can you see a SPP service if you search for services with a computer???
  • Is it possible to switch this internal SPP service off?
(I know from PocketPC and Windows CE: there it's possible to switch this SPP service off!)

Since my application is java based and i need the jsr-82 (bluetooth API) to connect over bluetooth I'm only interested in devices with these features.

It would be great if some of you could help (by testing this behaviour on their devices) and give me some information about as much Blackberry devices as possible. It be my goal to provide a list of all blackberries which are supported by my application...

Thank you very much!
