Default Blackberry 8830 with Garmin Nuvi 660

Please Login to Remove!

Looking for some help please. I have a Garmin Nuvi 660 navigating system in my truck that I use for hands free calling. The Garmin worked perfectly with the Razor phone I had. I have now gotten a Blackberry 8830 from my employers for work. Email etc works great on this.

Problem I am having is connecting the two together. I get the pairing to work but as soon as it connects the two together, then the connection terminates? I have done the pairing numerous times and still get the same result. Anyone know how to fix this problem, or encountered the same problem?

Yeah, I replied to yours already. The Nuvi 2.4 Bluetooth firmware fixed me up. The 2.8 would not work as most people say.

Smile Nuvi 660 with Blackberry 8830

I had the same problems with disconnecting that everyone else seems to have had. I just updated my Nuvi 660 from the Garmin website to Software Version 4.3 and Bluetooth SW Version 3.10, and am now able to connect, place calls, etc without loosing the connection with the phone (8830 with Verizon). I have only used it for 1 day, but seems to work fine.

Question

I tried following the instructions in the referenced thread when I came to this step:
3. Go into the X:\Garmin\RemoteSW and look for a file called 006B055301.GCD (where X: is your Nuvi drive)

There was no 006B055301.GCD file under the RemoteSW directory. Has anyone else run across this issue?

According to the system info I am currently running bluetooth SW version 2.8
