Default Pairing 7100g with BMW 2006 525i bluetooth - 07-19-2005, 04:53 PM

Hi,
I was not able to pair my BB 7100g with my BMW 2006 525i bluetooth. I can go as far as entering a passkey in the BB 7100g (was told by the dealer that I can just enter any random number) and then enter the same passkey in BMW display. But I receive the message from my BB 7100g that it is unable to pair the device.

I have OS 4.0.0.219. Anybody have experienced the same problem?

Ben

Hi Ben,

I called BMW Toronto about two weeks ago regarding their Bluetooth car kit and BlackBerry pairing... The rep told me that they don't work together, and that their techs are working on it.

On a side note, it seems like the 7100 just doesn't cooperate with many BT kits at all. HFW8000 has problems (first hand), and two other confirmations that the IHF1000 doesn't work. The Parrot seems like the only kit that is guaranteed to work.

Default BMW and 7100i - 08-31-2006, 12:13 PM

I have a 2007 525XI, and BB 7100i (Nextel). The 7100i pairs fine with the BMW. I have 2 issues wich are annoying:
1) the BB address book is set to display last name first - the bmw displays first name first
2) With my 7520 the bmw showed the callers name, with the 7100i it only shows the phone number.
