Default Bluetooth connection on 7250 - 07-23-2005, 12:59 PM

Another newbie question:

On my 7250 i set a bluetooth device and it seems to work o.k. My question is: every time i want to use it always asks to "accept the connection" from the device. This really slows down the process of using the bluetooth feature. Any way to allow it to be accepted all the time with no user interaction? Also, anyone else using a JABRA 110 with thier BB? Connection is spotty - does someone recomend a better BT device that uses standard batteries (like AAA or button cells) or a device that will allow use while charging?

Again - thanks!

Here's an answer to your question: Go into Options / Bluetooth and go into the device properties for the Jabra headset. Set "Trusted" to Yes and it will no longer prompt you every time.

The moto bluetooths do not use standard batteries either. I have had good like with both the Motorola HS810 and HS820, but they are all rechargeable.

Sweet! Thanks for the info!

As for the MOTO BT-sets : can they be used while charging? I have a JABRA 250 that requires to be charged in a "dock" so it can't be used during that time.

Used while charging? That does kind of defeat the purpose of a wireless headset, no??

I agree on the idea. However, when i have used my JABRA 250 in the past, the charge dropped during long car trips and then when i have to recharge it while driving, i can't use it while driving cuz its charging. So, I had thought that at least a unit that has a small charge plug on it - that allows for use during charging - would solve that portion of my quest for a versatile BT set. I got a JABRA 110 for the ease of battery replacement. It is an associated cost but the down time is nill since you just "pop" out the old batt and pop in the new. The connection strength is another matter. Seems to be fairly weak for some reason.

Yes the 820 requires a charger, there are three types available from motorola, car, wall, and usb.
