Default Whats The Deal? - 07-25-2005, 11:32 PM

From the Jabra website:

Compatibility Guide Step 2 of 2

Selected phone brand Blackberry
Selected phone model 7500 Series
Selected Jabra product Jabra BT250v

Compatibility Other Information
Blackberry 7500 Series and Jabra BT250v are not compatible.

I have a Nextel BB7520 and the Jabra BT250V on my phone I see this:

Paired Devices
Jabra BT 250v

Device Properties

Device Name Jabra BT 250v
Trusted Yes
Ecryption Enabled

Hands-Free unit

My question why can't I answer a second phone call when already on the phone IE call waiting.

I know I don't have voice dialing but what should work? and what should not work, as far as being compatable.

If you click the TrackWheel in you don't have an option for "New Call"?

Default Some insight - 07-26-2005, 11:17 AM

When recieving a new call on my 7230 from t-mobile the first option is

"Answer - Hold Current"

then

"Answer - Drop Current"

and

"Ignore"

Is yours different? By hitting the answer from a headset (non BT) I have always been able to put a caller on hold while picking up the other line. That is because my device defaults to "Answer - Hold Current".

I'm wondering if yours defaults to "Answer - Drop Current" and if that's the case is there a way to change the order.

Try deleting the pairing of the two and then initiate the pairing on the headset by holding down both the volume-up key and the answer button for 8 seconds or so. When the light is on solid, tell the BB to search. This should pair you in "advanced" mode that gives you the ability to do the redial, call waiting answer, etc.

BTW, this is from memory. If it doesn't work, do a quick search and you should find a post or two telling you the right way...

I gave you my info on my first post, on what my phone reads for pairing info.
I can currently do a redial, so I must be in advanced mode already.

As for what the phone reads for pairing info, my phone reads the same as yours whether I am paired in regular or advanced mode, and you never mentioned that you took the steps to pair it that way.

Anyway, I just tried it on my phone and you need to hold the button until after the 2nd beep and then it will put the first call on hold and answer the second. To return to the first call, press and hold until the 2nd beep again.
