Question Handsfree / Acura question - 07-28-2005, 02:45 PM

I have a 2004 Acura TL w/ BT. My old Sony T610 and Moto A630. I now have a 7290 and can connect just fine BUT....several of my phone numbers in the cars phonebook have pauses. The Moto and Sony handle them fine, but the BB gives me some sort of error whenever I dial. Is there any way to get a BB to recognize Handsfreelink "pauses"? ANyone else have this problem? TIA...

I am not sure if I understand your problem but BB's handle pauses differntly than most cell phones when it comes to the characters that are used for pauses. Check out this article, hope it helps:

Default I think the car is the problem? - 07-29-2005, 09:55 AM

Actually I can program the BB just fine with pauses. The issue is the car...when it sends a number to the BB with "pauses" in it (the car has it's own "phonebook") that the BB can't seem to recognize them. I was just hoping someone found a work-around. Thanks!
