I have Vista on a ThinkPad T61p with built in Bluetooth. Vista Bluetooth tool finds my 8830. However, Blackberry's DM does not find the 8830.

I have discoverable set to YES. I can play music from my 8830 to my laptop's speakers no problem. I can synch via USB cable no problem.

I am using RIM's Device Manager 4.3.0.7 and Desktop Manager 4.3.0.17. I used to bluetooth pair and desktop synch with my older Thinkpad A31p just fine.

What else can I try? I goto my 8830's Options/Bluetooth and only see Headset, Handsfree, Dial-up n/w, Audio Source and A/V remote control. Shouldn't I see a Desktop services here? When I enable bluetooth on my 8830, my thinkpad says that I have successfully connected to the headset service.

My 8830 has never been BES activated - been only synching via Internet mail connection.

Any ideas on what I need to do?
