Default IR Port - 07-30-2005, 11:09 AM

Hello all, this is not a blue tooth question, but related to the IR port on the blackberry. So far I can't find any settings that allow this to be used, and when I set it next to the IR port on my laptop, it doesn't find it. When I set my Dell Axim next to the laptop, it pops up a baloon message that another computer is nearby, any ideas why the Blackberry Ir port seems inactive? Thanks in advance.

Huh so the little ir port window in the end of the unit is fake? What's up with that?

It's a red lens. No IR circuitry. Nothing. Nada. Never had it, never will.
Be brought up MANY times in the past - but not recently...

The wireless antenna is built on the circuit board and there is no IR port and never will be.
