Default Voyager 510 or Moto 805? - 08-01-2005, 05:48 PM

Hi,
I was wondering if someone has tested both Plantronics Voyager 510 and Motorola HS-805 (not 850) and if anyone had a recommendation and why. I just got a 7250 and discovered this thread today.
Confort, ability to be well heard from my customers, and battery life are important factors...

Thanks in advance,

Qwerty from Quebec CIty...

If you read the sticky "Bluetooth Headset Reviews" thread at the top of this section you can find out a ton of information about all the available headsets. With that said I've never heard of the HS-805 so I can't compare it to anything.

I think you will find from reading the thread that the Voyager 510 is one of the top headsets out right now. I have an HS-850 and I'm looking into getting a V510 to use in noisier environments as it has much better volume than what I have now.

I just received the Voyager 510 and it's great. I had the HS850 and HS820 which worked well but this headset is excellent in noisy conditions. I had to actually turn down the volume. I was also able to get it to pair to two phones so whichever one rings or that I use, the headset will automatically connect to it.

I just bought the 510. It is my first bluetooth headset, so I have nothing to compare it to.

However, regarding comfort I give it a 10. It comes with three different earpieces. The first day I used it, I actually forgot I was wearing it until I went to bed.

You can get it at amazon.com for $52. I purchased mine from anything4wireless.com for $57.99. (Amazon did not have it in stock at the time so I opted to spend a bit more to get it faster).

I have the Vogayer 510, am pleased with it because it very clear on my end, however my wife is complaining with the background noise when I drive on the road, so I am not exactly sure certain how well the noise cancelling is working.

I got mine at Amazon.com at 49.99 free shipping.

Pin me (23C4715A) if you are interested in hearing it from your end, I can call you so you will be the listener.
