Default Nextel 7520, and Bluetooth Headset? - 08-10-2005, 11:38 PM

Well I'm indecisive as to what bluetooth set to buy for my blackberry. I would like to get a motorola one, however, from reviews I have been reading I'm not entirely sure that is the best option. I was thinking I needed a comparison on the HS820 vs. HS850, but any inout is really good form anyone using a 7520, with a B.T headset. Looking forward to what is to be said. I read through a lot of teh forum post, and also viewed the comparison, and sound clip testing thing from one of the users in the forum. However, it wasnt done on a 7520 and could possibly make the difference. Any input appreciated. Thanks, Dustin

I've tried about 3 different headsets and have settled on the Logitech Mobile Freedom headset. Mainly because the calls are clear both on my side and the other side... and the freakin thing stays on my ear really well.

Other headsets I have tried...

Plantronics M2500
SCALA 500

The plantronics would have been great, but the other end of the call sounded choppy no matter how the headpiece was configured or adjusted.

SCALA 500 was an awesome headset, just would not stay on my ear no matter what I did.

Hope this helps!

I use a 7520 and have used the HS820 and the HS850...IMO the HS820 sucks with the HS850 a close second in the sucking competition...I ordered a scala 500 yesterday there are a ton of good reviews on these forums as well as on Cnet (7.6 out of 10)

Searching for a new blackberry......I just cant stay away.

My Scala's ear piece broke off, and I had problems with static when paired with my 7520. Callers couldn't hear me very well. I'm using an HS850 now; almost didn't get one because of the bad reviews here and elsewhere, but I'm very happy with it. It pairs well, always connects, holds the connection, sound quality incoming is a little quiet but the outgoing is the best of the four BT headsets I've used (Cardo Scala, Nokia, SE, HS850).
