Angry pioneer AVIC-F7010BT 8830WE - 08-28-2008, 06:09 PM

I just got a AVIC-F700BT car System. When i connect the phone via Bluetooth it connects then disconnects after about 2 sec. it will not stay connected. I connected a pearl 8130 with no issues. I have connected other bluetooth devices to the 8830 with no issues.

I have no idea what could be causing this. Doses any on have differnt firmware i currently running v4.2.2.176

I talked to tech support with both verizion and pioneer both just point the fingure.

Could be a software thing since both devices run different software versions. The 8130 was probably running either 4.3 or 4.5 so maybe upgrading to a 4.5.0.x version for the 8830 will fix the issue?

I changed the OS from 4.2 to 4.5 and now it works fine.

PS when talking to Verizion they just blamed it one the Radio and said nothing was wrong with the phone and would not give any support i found the new os on the web.
