So I picked up a
Motorola T605 bluetooth car kit for my ride. I got it mainly for streaming audio via my Curve 8320 to my car stereo using the built in aux input so therefor didnt install the mic + speaker that came with the unit for handsfree calling.
Works great. But the problem is if I'm connected via bluetooth listening to music & a call comes in, the audio on the unit itself mutes so I can receive the call (like its supposed to) but I cant hear crap if I use the phone's earpiece. Its because the the Motorola device is kinda dumb & doesnt know that I disconnected the mic + speaker from the Motorola unit itself, so it still thinks I wanna use the handsfree profile, which I obviously cant because there is no mic or speaker!
Anyways, yes I could go back & have them install the mic + speaker to solve the problem, but thats a pain & would cost me more money. Plus, I really dont care about handsfree calling.
Is there a way I can disable the handsfree profile for specific devices on the Curve or anyone have any ideas of another workaround?? There's no way to do it on the Motorola unit itself obviously because its a pretty bare bones setup with no menu system or options other than pairing.
