Default File Transfers (Blue Soleil and the 8310) - 10-19-2008, 03:09 PM

Hey guys. I'm able to transfer files onto and off of my blackberry when paired with other phones, but I seem unable to pair my BB 8310 with my laptop.

I'm using Blue Soleil and a standard usb dongle. I doubt there's anything wrong with the software or the dongle as I am able to transfer files seamlessly with my Sony w810i phone.

Initially the only two options available without doing anything on the BB other than turning on bluetooth, is the dial up networking service and the serial port service. When I turn on "receive using bluetooth" after going to media on the BB, push service is the only other service enabled. Normally, with the w810i, 'file transfer service' becomes enabled and I can just transfer files like that. Any suggestions?

I've read in the BT FAQ the following:

What devices do BlackBerrys Support?

Does that have anything to do with it? I would hope not =S.
