"While the range of Bluetooth is 10 meters (33 feet), the optimal range FOR ANY BRAND OF BLUETOOTH STEREO DEVICE is 2 feet from the music device, particularly outdoors when the signal cannot bounce off walls and ceilings. THIS RULE APPLIES TO ANY BRAND OF BLUETOOTH STEREO DEVICE"

Two feet? Definitely not. Especially if it's in open space. I can walk around my house freely on one floor without disturbances as long as I don't go beyond too many walls. I can even walk off half the stairs to the second floor. Beyond that however is when it gets choppy...

This is with the S9 and both 8310/8900

I've walked away from my phone while wearing BT headset (e.g., left it on a work-out machine) and not noticed until I got through a door into another room...
