Default Pair Bold to a laptop - 03-14-2009, 02:15 PM

I had a Curve that I connected to my laptop but got a Bold and I can't seem to get it to talk to Desktop Manager. I go in to Control panel and add it with no problem and it sees it. Then I open Desktop Manager and try to see it there and nothing.

Any ideas? I am stumped.

Thanks

John

As an addendum to this when I look at BlueTooth properties on the Bold there is nothing for services for my laptop. There should be an outgoing com port on the computer and I should be able to see something under services on the Bold.

I have my headset connected just fine.

Thanks

I'd suggest referring to this guide:

Thanks, that helped but didn't solve the problem, I got the phone and it had an IT policy which I got direction and removed. I would bet that is the issue. I now have the blank IT policy from the forum.

Any ideas on how to proceeed?

Thank You

John
