Default Bluetooth AutoConnect Problems - 03-24-2009, 08:57 AM

I am having problems with my Blackberry 8300 autoconnecting to paired bluetooth devices, particularly my car bluetooth speaker. Previously, I had no problems with my Blackberry autoconnecting.

Now, since I linked my Blackberry to my company's enterprise server, I have to manually connect and enter the password every time.

Help?

P.S. I did do a search in this forum on this topic, but could not find anything. No flames if I missed a similar post please.

Wirelessly posted (My Bold)

It may be something with the IT policy... After you connect it, go to BT options, and make sure it is set to always allow. There is another option for "trusted". Make sure that is selected as well. If that doesn't fix the problem, its your IT policy and you can't do too much about it. Sorry =(

Thanks for your help, Dan. With respect to the IT policy at my company, other people with the same phone have not been experiencing the same issues, and say that their Blackberry automatically connects.

Also, if I were to approach our IT group, what exactly would I request from them in making an "exception"?

Thanks again.
