Default 8220 BT won't turn on - 04-27-2009, 10:36 AM

I've used BT before on my 8220 to do synching but haven't done it in about 4 months. Now when I try to turn BT on, it shows "Bluetooth: Disabled" and I select "Enable Bluetooth" and it sits there for about 5 seconds and nothing happens and it still says "Bluetooth: Disabled" I've removed the battery and tried again but nothing. I've also tried scanning and setting it up to listen but the same thing happens.

If I try it from the "Manage Connections" screen, it puts a checkerboard pattern in the box with the check mark for about 5 seconds and then the checkmark goes away and I still have the red X.

When I try to do a BT scan it tries to turn BT on but my LGLG log is filled with:

Code:
a net.rim.bluetooth - OFF
a net.rim.bluetooth.hf - CLUP
a net.rim.bluetooth.a2dp - CLUP
a net.rim.bluetooth.avrcp - CLUP
a net.rim.bluetooth.sap - CLUP
Any other ideas? I'm not on a BES nor am I even running with the BB data package.

Running 4.6.0.236

My 8220 is doing the same. I have tried everything. Have you figured it out?
Thanks,

Nope. I even wiped the phone with JL Commander and reloaded the OS. No difference.

Weird. Is it possible that there is a Service Book missing? Have you tried resending them?

1st Step in Troubleshooting: Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan?
2nd Step in Troubleshooting: Pull the Battery.

No way to resend them as I don't have a data plan.
