Blackberry vs Bluetooth Integration

Is there any API or some mechanism available in the Blackberry (for Bluetooth) that we can use, to launch an external application in the Blackberry device?

The functionality of the application deals with the locking and unlocking of the blackberry device via. bluetooth.
