Default Bluetooth pass key - 05-01-2009, 03:25 PM

I am trying to link my 8310 with my desktop through the bluetooth. the computer sees the bb, however it is asking for a bluetoth passkey. how do i get a passkey? I am unable to use the usb as it according to blackberry tech help is defective. I need to get my address book and email history off of this blackberry to input to a new one. can anyone help with this, please!!!

just make up a passkey like 1234. The other device will then ask for the passkey, which you put 1234 again. That should allow direct connection.

Though you may want to use something more random than 1234. The pass key is used to generate the key that protects data exchanged between the devices.
