Just got the Q1 from BlueAnt can i get my MP3's to play through it?

Well, if you got it -- try it.

i got nothing i was hoping someone knows of a setting or something i am missing because i cant get it play through the headset.

Moved to Bluetooth Connection where you are more likely to get help.

I took a quick stroll around the Documentation for the earpiece and I cannot find a mention of it supporting the A2DP profile, which is the Bluetooth Stereo profile. As far as I can tell it only supports the Handsfree and Headset profile. So in short, to the best of my knowledge, you cannot play your MP3's thru the earpiece.
