Default Sending a file to my Mac - Help! - 05-10-2009, 01:37 PM

Hi,

Recently received my first BB 8900 and loving it! One problem though, when I try and send a picture that I have taken on the BB camera via bluetooth to my Macbook Pro I get the message "Failed to find service". I'm running Mac OSX 10.5.6 and here's what I have tried:

- Pairing the handset with the Mac
- Pairing the Mac with the handset
- Sending a file to the handset from the Mac. This work perfectly!

If anyone can recommend anything I would extremely grateful as it's been driving me mad!!!

Many thanks,

Ryan

I have no problems sending pics to my macbook pro. I have a 9000, but I would think the process similar. I just click on the pic and hit send using bluetooth and then I get a pop-up on my mac for confirmation. If the mac and the phone are paired, this should be easy.
One thing you can check is to open the bluetooth option on your mac, click on your phone (should say Blackberry 8900 in your case) in click file sharing setup and make sure "bluetooth sharing" is checked. My pics go to the downloads folder, but I think you can change that if desired.
I hope this helps you out.
