Question Pairing specific instructions (Jabra BT250) - 01-11-2006, 07:50 AM

I recently purchased a 7250 and a BT250 headset on fleabay. I went to the Jabra site to download the instructions. It says there are instructions for pairing specific devices on their site, but I am unable to find them. I am getting an error message that says unable to pair devices after it finds the device and I enter a password. I must need to reset the password somehow or I am missing some other step. Help!?

hmmm.. I have a 7290, and I know that I had a really hard time getting it configured with my bluetooth headset. Turns out that some "steps" were missing in the instructions provided with the bluetooth headset. It's possible that you too may need to do some of the same steps as I did. If I remember from the steps that someone else told me... Under Options/Bluetooth, is your 7290 now listed under Paired Devices? If so, click the wheel/Enter. You should now see a menu. Do you see Device Properties? If so, click the wheel. It should show your device name. Under Trusted, I'm quite certain it should say "yes". I think that was part of my issue in the beginning. None of my instructions said that I need to tell the bluetooth headset to "trust" the connection to my BB device.

Hope that might help...

also, what is the password you are entering? is it a password that they gave to you? I know that my instructions also never said anything about a password, but I later learned the password was "0000".

I did enter 0000. I have the 7250 set to yes under "Discoverable". I think I will try to contact the seller and use his password.
