Default Re-install MS BT stack ? - 01-16-2006, 08:26 AM

Hi all,
After a series of events (don't ask), I managed to completely mess up the XP SP2 bluetooth drivers - they no longer show up. Even though I get a blue tooth icon, XP does not detect new bluetooth devices even if I force a scan. When I try to add the hardware, it says 'Belkin Bluetooth adapter driver possibly missing or corrupted'

My laptop is a Thinkpad T43 (was using belkin bluetooth USB adapt FT8001)

Question:

a) Is it possible just to download microsoft bluetooth drivers again ? I did not see it anywhere
Kinda urgent...

Thanks
arjun

Have you checked Microsoft's knowledgebase?

hi, yes I have. None of them seem to address this situation. They all talk about how to use MS BT stack instead of other 3rd party drivers.

might try windowsupdate.com and have it check to see if you need any updates... it *might* detect missing service pack items...
