I just received my replacement 8700 from RIM (due to the dust issue) and have noticed that my Plantronics Discovery 640 has been dropping the BT connection, then re-establishing it for no apparent reason (meaning the phone nor the headset change positions). Sometimes, the BT connection will disconnect while I'm in the middle of a phone call forcing me to scramble for the handset to continue the conversation. This never took place with the previous device that I sent back to RIM.

In addition, the day I got the replacement device I connected it to my laptop via its (the laptop) BT adapter and for 15 minutes it kept disconnecting and reconnecting over and over. Though, I removed the battery from the device and rebooted the computer and it hasn't happened since.

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue or could possibly shed some light on why it might be happening and what I can do to remedy it.
