I just received my Plantronics D640 and it works great for me. Thanks to barjohn for his reviews. I made the modification he sugguested of putting the stick-on foam pad on one side of the charger and it fits snug as a bug and will not fall out of the charger even if I shake it real hard. I think that everybody's hot issues are different, and the D640 suits me fine.

My question is related to the type of battery in the D640. Does it need to be conditioned, and does the manner in which it is charged effect the battery life? Thanks in advance.
