Default Platronics v510 and 7130e issue - 02-10-2006, 11:17 PM

All,

Thought I would post this to see if I have something wierd going on, or is it the newer code, or has others seen this...

I have a new v510. It syncs fine, sounds ten times better then my old Moto H820 and has a pretty good mic.

Problem is, while sitting idle, the v510 will connect then disconnect. Then connect and disconnect. Connects for a few minutes, disco's for a min or two, then reconnects. It's bloody annoying when you simply are wearing the head set. Worse part is, it's not a constant time between the disco and connects (it varies).

I have experimented and the problem did not happen with the original code 4.1.0.117 (it's a Verizon unit). But does it with both Telus and Bell code (run the Bell code mainly). I'd leave it on the original code if not for the reboots at un-syncing the headset bug.

Oh...and I have rebooted the 7130 as well.

Only thing I note is that the v510 is a G version. Don't know if that matters.

OH: and I have tried Encrypted and non-Encrypted link. Also it is set for Trusted (it also got annoying everytime it resync'd - it always reasked!).

Thanks in advance!!!

Even though I loved my 510 for the 1.5 weeks that I had it, I came to the conclusion that it was not compatible with my 7105T. I tried two headsets, and two handsets. I traded it for a Jabra BT250 (equal quality, equal sound), and in the one day I used it (yesterday), it worked almost perfect.

I've had my 7130e (Verizon) and 510 for a few months now, and once it's connected, it stays connected. I do suffer the popular reboot when the two are separated (by distance), lose connection (of course), then you try to re-connect. But everyone is having that issue.

I'd swap out the 510, you may have a bad device.

You think that's bad? I get a ton of phone calls and when i'm using bluetooth and a second call comes in while im on the phone, it disconnects everyone and brings me back to the menu. ARG!
