Exclamation Installed 4.1: now cannot keep bluetooth connection - 02-17-2006, 12:13 PM

I recently installed 4.1 onto my 7100-T

Aside from the overall slower feel of the device I have also developed a glitch.

My bluetooth headset (Motorola HS805) will not reconnect to my blackberry. Anytime I want to use the headset I have to do the following:

:OPTIONS
:BLUETOOTH
-select device
:DELETE DEVICE

When I turn the headset back on it is recognized by the blackberry and I can enter the code and establish a connection.

If the connection is EVER broken I have to go through this process again.

Is there something I need to do differently?

I upgraded my 10 month old 7100t to 4.1 a few weeks ago and have noticed the same bluetooth headset problems (Motorola HS-820). After extensive trouble shooting T-Mobile agreed to send me a replacement 7100t.

The new 7100t now has the dreaded re-boot without warning problem whenever I turn on bluetooth! (with or without the headset paired)

I am sending the new 7100t back to T-Mo and will try it again next week when I receive the second one. Hopefully this will work!

In the meantime, I will use my old 7100t and manually pair my headset each and every time!
