Default Blackberry & Ipaq Bluetooth? - 02-19-2006, 11:07 AM

Greetings Guys & Gals

Please don't bash me I have read the FAQ and checked out the RIM site but it's still not clear. The "Serial Port Profile" that was released recently and apparently allows bluetooth keyboards will it allow a virtual com port as well?

I would like to share my unlimited internet connection on my 7100t with T-Mobile for my HP Ipaq running Pocket PC 2003. Even if I can't share the internet connection I would still like to share contact information or be able to tap a contact on the Ipaq and have my BB 7100 dial it.

Are any of these things possible? The Bluetooth info is so new concerning the recent releases I haven't been able to find enough info.

Thanks In Advance
Y1

Simple answer is that none of these are available.

The new Bluetooth functionality will allow your BlackBerry, with OS v4.1, to sync to certain approved Bluetooth devices on a laptop or a desktop. That's about it. There is no way today to use BT for internet connectivity or to connect to another device like an iPaq.

Thanks for the quick (albeit disheartening) reply!
