Default auto-connect with 7290? - 02-22-2006, 11:40 AM

Hi all,

I'm trying to get my 7290 to automaticaly connect with my in-car bluetooth speakerphone (Supertooth II). For some reason I can't get the two to automatically connect. I can manually connect with no problems by going into Options and then Bluetooth and clicking on connect. I have my Supertooth set to 'Trusted: yes'.

Anything I"m missing? It's a pain in the but to manually connect everytime i get into my car. My old Motorola V710 automatically connected to the Supertooth with no problems.

Thanks.

I have a Supertooth II that I'm using with my 8300. The manual doesn't specifically mention that it supports the Curve, but lists other Blackberrys. It does state that it requires a manual connection:

Quote:
After turning the Supertooth off, or going out of range, to reconnect just press the Pick-Up/Hang-Up button on the Supertooth once.
Problem is, that also activates the voice dialing and you have to cancel out of that. It is somewhat cumbersome and not as you would expect the pairing to work.
