Default Trouble with Bluetooth Keyboard Connection - 02-24-2006, 06:23 PM

I just got the Freedom Keyboard. I have installed the driver, and the keyboard menu is now appearing in the applications on my 7130e. The keyboard is also showing up in the Bluetooth menu as a paired device. However, the keyboard is not working with my 7130e, and the indicator light is only flashing green once each second, not twice.

What am I doing wrong?

your only hope is to try the free-trial. I think you'll like their drivers better. it seems to work better than the Freedom drivers.

What operating system are you using? For 4.1, there is a sxecurity setting you have to adjust for keyboard injection. Contact Freedom Keyboards support. They helped me ...

has anyone successfully set the OS4.1 INJECTION keyboard to ALLOW on their 7100g using Cingular software for a standalone unit, no BES used? Mine are permanently set to DENY and needs some download to override? so KB's wont connect. [email address]

I HAD previously purchased this very same keyboard from PhoenixWireless and it was a pieice of garbage. The reseller was not helpful nor was the Mfr. For the life of me, I couldnt get it working properly with my 7520 OS 4.0.

Does anyone know of a better solution out there?

Just got my new Shasta Stowaway for my BB 7250.

Keyboard is discovered via Bluetooth and installed. Never a BES on this BB 7250.

Firmware 4.1.0.268

But "connect to keyboard" doesn't show up in options for email or browser, and typing on keyboard doesn't show up on screen (despite blinking" discoverable" light).

Has anyone had this problem and fixed it?

EDIT: Software upgrade fixed it.
