FWIW...I use my 8700c in my wife's '04 TL without any of the problems you describe.

Works flwalessly in my 05 TL. Can you retry your 7100t or another BT phone? Maybe something failed in your handsfree system recently.

if i do the -wipe command does that effect the uninstalling/ reinstalling of the bluetooth software? More than, uninstalling everything i can find/ program wise. deleting all applications and modules i can find, Reinstalling everything from scratch through the desktop manager

i don't mind doing it,, but before i go through the whole, putting the hthing back together, i'd like to know it makes a difference

thanks, everyone

Anyone willing to give me their Acura TL to write up a review of the Bluetooth? I make no promises you'll get it back tho ;)

My 04 TL is doing the same thing as you describe. The display even says its still connected when in fact its not. Then, suddenly the speaker phone picks right up and it is good to go. The 8700c is only 2 weeks old, so I may swap it out with Cingular.

Pho, have you had problems with the mic cutting in and out after the upgrade? My 05 TL worked flawlessly w/ my se 610, nokia 6230, and razr. The bluetooth radio on the BB8700 seems much weaker than the phones above. I've upgraded to bharti as well and the incoming still sounds fine (no cutting in/out on my side) but I'm getting complaints that the outgoing is cutting in and out. No dropped connections, just poor outgoing sound.

I have had some wierd things - 3 times i have had a bad connection coming in - the audio quality was total crap. Ended the call started over it was fine. and twice the bluetooth went to old habbits of connecting and dropping. Turned bt radio off and back on and it was stable again.

I"m not sure if the radio for teh bt is weak as much as i think the cell antenna is supercharged - i had a started a thread that got closed before i could respond about how the 8700 is messing with my ipod.

I'm not talkinga bout the fuzz noise that everyone gets and i have gotten since the 7250 i'm talking about it actually raises and lowers the volume on my ipod like a freakin ghost.

I love so many other things about it that - i've let soem of the bluetooth issues slide.

Its having no problem keeping a connection to the bt keyboards.

This is as close to a perfect device as i have gotten - with some software that has come along recently.

8700c and Ipod Video - and man - i'm ready to travel
