Default Low volume on Moto HS*%)

Please Login to Remove!

I have 7290. I also have a hearing impairment. Not deaf, but hard of hearing. All of these years in the Army have taken their tool on my earsdrums. I have the default volume at 100%, however, I still have dificulty hearing with the Moto ear piece. Any sugestions on another earpiece?
thanks for your assistance

well, I am using HS520 -- getting fairly good reception and volume. 1 yr or so, not much hassle

Check the your OS version. If you dont have the latest, you might want to consider upgrading. I have heard that the later OS versions increase the volume

actually from what I have heard the 4.0 software caused some of the problem u speak of. I find it very hard to believe that RIM hasnt fixed it yet. I have a 7290 with 4.0x and the BT with hs850 is UNUSABLE.
Went back to using my moto flip for voice.
And IMHO the mic gain is way overdriven on most BB's I have talked to-
no noise cancellation whatsoever
I am going to load 3.7 back on as soon as I get a chance and see if the rumor is true. Will let you know

(your milage may vary)

Default Moto HS850 vs Plantronic M3500

I have both the Moto HS850 and the Plantronic M3500 on a TMO 7290 OS 4.0

I really like the style and size of the HS850 but it does have low volume on my 7290 my wife says I have a large bullet in my ear when I use the M3500. The HS850 links to the phone faster than the M3500 and is lighter (.7oz vs 1.0oz) making it more confortable. The M3500 has much better volume, for most calls I need to turn the volume down. The M3500 also does a great job of cancelling background noise.

I have a 7250 and use 4.1 OS on it, I have bothe the HS-820 and the Plantronics V510. Volume is great on both, as a matter of fact the Plantronics I have to lower the volume on it or it can literally do damage to ears.
