Edit, i just realized this was released today, so, probably no one has tried it, but would someone like to

I have looked at several GPS programs for my 7100t but want to know how much a receiver costs in order to use those.

Try the Trackem Plus app at trackem.com for a GPS program.

Default BT GPS receiver

You may want to try the NAVi BT GPS from Scytex. I currently have it connected to my HP 2210 Pocket PC running iNAV iGuidance software. Does anyone know of software that I can run on my 8700r to use this BT receiver?

Hi,

Just got my first BB 8700 and really like it! Already trying to max it out.

Has anyone tried to use this model with a GPS Bluetooth Receiver and one of the free packages (Mobile GMaps or HelloWorld GPS Map Browser) that will work with Google Maps? I was thinking about trying out the OnCourse SiRF Star III Bluetooth GPS Receiver.

Thanks!
Mark

I got mgmaps v.1.19 to work on mines (8100), but after viewing with the satellite for a few minutes, i lost it. I'm trying right now to find a workaround, so I'll update my post once I get it working.

Ok, here's my take on mgmaps.....they don't really care about updating their software to be compatible with the blackberry. I got a newer version to work.....I think the 1.24, but the damn thing wouldn't show me maps nor the satellite view! Now I can't seem to get it off of my 8100! I'll stick with google maps for the free maps and bite the bullet and purchase wayfinder for gps navigation.
