Default Need Help - Motorola HS820

Please Login to Remove!

I am trying to pair this device with my BB 7290 except after searching for devices I am prompted to select only the Blackberry 7290 itself.

1.) Why would this happen? (Have nary a clue but this seems illogical)
2.) Any advice on a passkey? (tried 0000, 00000 & 000000)
3.) Why isn't the BB device picking up the HS820? ( probably has something to do with question1 but thought I'd ask anyway)

Thanks.

It doesn't sound like your headset is entering into pairing mode. I had a similar problem when I switched from my old Blackberry to my new one and had to pair my HS820. Had to do a hard reset of the headset device. Check headset manual for info on that. On the passkey, once you enter pairing mode, you should be able to use 0000 as the code.

Good luck

Thanks r2 but it seems as if the phone is trying to pair with itself.....any thoughts on this?

Again you dont have the headset in pairing mode so it cant find it, what you need to do is simply hold the on and off button down until you geta solid blue light (roughly abour 5 seconds, be patient it will show up) thena nd only then go to your BB and select add a device, it will find it and eventually ask you if this is the device you want you say OK and then it asks for the password, and that should be 0000.
