I'm hoping someone can help me on this. On the Moto HS850, is there a way to stop the automatic redial every time the boom is opened? (FYI - this happens when you're not in a call, but just want to put the headset on your ear.)

Also, does anyone know if this behavior is the same with the Moto H700? Further, is the H700 better in quality?

You are in luck. Honestly the h700 I just got isn't as clear as my previous hs820 but it does work good. As far as opening the mic alls it does is establish the connection to my bb and when I close it, it disconnects it. I never used the 850 but I'm sure you wouldn't have that problem. What bb do you have?

I also have an 8700c and use the Moto HS850. I can open the boom and all it does is establish connection. It doesn't auto dial the last number. The only way I can get my HS850 to dial the last number is to press and hold the multi-function button when the boom is opened.

I've been sitting here trying to get it to auto call the last number dialed when I open the boom but can't get it to do it.

Is there any posibility that your multi-function button is stuck? That's the only thing I can think of. If not, you may have gotten a bad headset.
