Default how can i switch between my headset and my Lexus LS 430? - 06-29-2006, 01:24 PM

I have my 7130e bonded to both my Moto 850 HS and my car. When I'm in the car, my phone makes the connection and I can make and receive phone calls over the speaker system. There are times when I need to discuss sensitive matters and I don't want others in the car to hear it. Is there a way I can toggle between the car and the headset? If I press the button on the HS, will that hang up the call? How do I switch back to the car after using the HS?

Not sure if this will help, but I use 2 different headsets with my BB. They both show up on my list of active bluetooth devices when I click my thumbwheel while on a call, so I can toggle between my 2 headsets, the handset, and speakerphone (7130e). I would think you could do that with your car. Pressing the button on the headset may affect the call, depends on the headset.

003402,

On my 7130e, I paired two different headsets to it. When I'm on a call, I can switch between one of the headsets and the speakerphone, but not the other headset. What model BB do you have?

Ok, finally got a chance to try this out with the Lexus, a 7130e and a Moto HS850. Once I got all the pairing correct, I start a call using the Lexus. I then press the scroll wheel and switched to the headset. The person on the other end can hear me, but I can't hear them. I know it's not the headset because if I just make a call using the headset, I can hear the receipient. Any thoughts?

I have a 7130e on vzw. I also have a motorola 850 and 500 models. I can actually switch between the two on the fly.

As for the problem with the switching on the lexus/ headset and not being able to hear, not sure on that one.

I was able to pair two headsets to the 7130e one time, but after I removed both of them, I discovered that I could only have one active headset at a time. When I paired a headsets and the car, pushing the trackwheel allowed me to switch between the handset, the speaker phone, or the car. I could not get it to recognize the second headset. Even when I removed the car's profile from the BlackBerry, I still could not switch between the two headsets. Perhaps this is another example of how VZW is crippling their phones.

Does the Lexus have a "transfer" function. My Acura does and it works great. During a call, if I want to go from the car's handfree to the handset, I just use the transfer function - same if I want to go from handset to car's handsfree. Acura implements this as one of its voice commands.

I'll have to check when my user is back in the office. So this is initiated on the car side and not on the BB? If this function does exist with the Lexus, it would preferable as he can keep his BB in his briefcase.

Yes, controlled completely on the car side. You just activate hands free link voice control and say "transfer".
