I just ordered the BB 7100i and am very excited about the bluetooth capabilities. I really wanted a camera phone, however, but did not want to lose the BB functionality (I have the 7510 and love it). I was on the lookout for a P&S camera that I can carry around to replace the camera phone functionality when I came across the Kodak Easyshare V610 which is bluetooth enabled. Yes, yes, yes I read that BB can only work with bluetooth headsets but all of the information I read here about it appeared to be old (around 2004). I also read here that data can be transferred to a computer wirelessly (data transfer). Finally, I read about the application GTphoto which made me wonder if it would be possible to transfer photos from a bluetooth camera to the BB. I have no clue what it would entail to get this to work but I was wondering if anyone else had seen this camera and had any thoughts about this - now or in the future.

Welcome to BB Forums.

There is (still) no way to transfer pictures, ringtones or any other data using the Bluetooth on a BlackBerry.

BT can only be used for wireless headsets, a few wireless keyboards and for syncing PIM data instead of using the USB cable.

just crossed the Blackberry line,
exactly in this situation,
my old sony-ericsson still takes happily my pictures,
and my new wonder of technology refuses everything.

I just traded in my Dopod 838 WM5 for the 8707v,
Sure I'm gonna be happy with it, feels great.
Took me 20 mns to do stuff that would take just too long on the dopod
but still, not being able to receive pictures via Bluetooth, that's a bit low-tech...

If Anyone has a solution, or an hint, It would be heaven
