Default Can the 7250 do bluetooth modem? - 07-15-2006, 11:29 AM

I'm wondering if I can use it as a modem through bluetooth, not the USB cable. Possible? Here are the specs...

Blackberry 7250
EVDO upgrade
Telus
Currently syncing with Desktop manager via bluetooth without problems

Hi Dylan - it can't.
No BlackBerrys can do Bluetooth modem. None. Zero.

Dex - welcom to BBForums.
BT compatible, in BlackBerry terms, means wireless headsets/audio, a few BT keyboards and PIM syncing with certain BT based PCs and laptops. No data transfer. No beaming. No BT modem.

Thanks man. SO I just wanted to confirm.....if I want to use my phone as a modem, it has to be done through USB and not bluetooth? There's no hacks?

That's correct - USB only if your carrier supports it.
Hacks are for Palms.

Good luck, in any event!
