Exclamation 8700 Bluetooth and Lexus - 07-16-2006, 11:42 AM

Saw a few comments on this being an issue

I just bought an 8700 from t Mobile and am getting more frustrated with the on again off again connectivity.

Has there been a fix or are there any hints or tips to getting the handheld connected as consistently (i.e. everytime) as my old 7100?

I believe all software updates are up to date, any firm ware or hardware updates that have been released to specifically address this?

Blackberry support site has nothing, hopefully the experience here will provide a solution.

Thanks in advance

Grant

hmm okay well...I dont think that driving a Lexus has anything to do with the Bluetooth connection...trust me... lol but... as far as the on/off thing you have going on between the headset you should just put that headset as your primary and when you turn on your headset, the BB will automatically locate the headset and establish a connection.

Is it possible that your problem could be because you are out of range of your headset or that your headset is having technical difficulties?

There's no headset in the mix. The Lexus has built in Bluetooth connectivity. The 8700 pairs fine with it, but connects and disconnects the Bluetooth connection at a whim.

Well I think it does

I actually spent 45 mins on the phone to T Mobile tech support - they say my Blackberry is up to date as far as software - they have no idea, suggest it's a Lexus issue.. I'll be contacting them as their website isn't up to date on which phones are compatible.

Cheers

well...i am sorry for your troubles. but i have not had any problems with my connection. i dont "own" a lexus persay, but my parent does i use my device with no problem. since t-mobile cant seem to find an answer to your problem, i would try contacting the Lexus people ( by phone not just internet )and seeing if they know of a possible solution..

GOOD LUCK
