Default HS700 Giving me issues - 07-31-2006, 03:36 PM

I have an 8700c and linked it with the nice HS700 bluetooth headset. However, every single time I open the boom, it links to my phone, and then 5 minutes later, unlinks, and then links, and then unlinks, and so on and so forth. I am literally sitting here with the headset on my ear and my phone in my hand, so there is no interference and I'm 1 foot from the phone. Has anyone else had any issues and if so, what they were and what the fix is. I am getting furious at times. It never cuts out on me in the middle of the call, only when I am not on the phone. Thanks

I went through two of them, and both ended up with the same problem you report. What I found is that after a while, if you even lightly brush the open boom, it would disconnect, then reconnect. After the second one, I just gave up on them as too fragile for real-life.
