Question Bluetooth drop out - 08-01-2006, 08:25 PM

I have an 8700c and started out with a Moto HD850 headset. Worked fine for about a week, then it would drop out about 5 seconds into a call. The call was still on the BB, just not on the Moto. I'd click the button and it would return, then drop out again. Figured I had a bad headset, so swapped it for a new one. Same problem. Figured there was a problem with the HS850 and my BB so swapped it for a Plantronics Discovery 640. Love the headset, but...same problem, only on this one if I click the headset button I lose the call. The 8700c is running on v4.1.0.194.

Is anybody else having this same problem? Any suggestions before I swap out the BB for a replacement? BTW Cingular has been really good about these swapouts but the problem is annoying.

Did you find a solution to this problem? I am experiencing it as well with a 8700c

I haven't found anything that will fix my 8700c bluetooth problems yet...

Try upgrading your OS if you havent already. That may resolve some of the issue. If not, swap the berry.

Good luck,

I just started having a similar problem on my 7130 with a samsung web200. Connects and reconects randomly every ten seconds or so.

I had the same problem with Sprint 7130. All by BT would lose connection and within 2 seconds reconnect. It was quick annoying. I just swap for another 7130 and I dont have the problem anymore. I swap for another reason(echo on other callers side) then the BT issue.

I've been having the same problem for months.
When I first got it, it seemd to work ok, but after a week or two, the problem described above happens to me, no matter what headset I use.
It's extremely frustrating to drop out every 5 seconds.
I simply can't use Bluetooth.

My 8703e hasn't had any problems... I am using a WEP 200.
