Default Static problems between 7290 and H500 - 08-03-2006, 02:01 AM

I have an H500 bluetooth headset by motorola, as well as bb 7290 running OS 4.0.

I am having some issues with the quality of sound from the headset to the phone. Specifically, I get reports from people at the other end that my voice cuts in and out, and there are some sounds that sound like "an old dot matrix printer".

In doing some troubleshooting, I connected my headset to two different computers and did some recording. On both computers the recording was just fine.

Next, I set up my computer as a headset and did some calling to see if the phone was ok. Everyone said that my voice sounded great.

This leads me to believe that there is some sort of compatability issue with the phone and the headset. (However, I have seen many people say this same combination works great.)

Is there any advice someone might be able to give me as to why this might be happening?

Thanks very much

I just noticed that my headset has been configured to use encryption, which the other connections did not have. However, this did not alleviate any problems I've been having.
