Default earpiece and caller ID - 08-08-2006, 03:09 PM

I tried searching for an answer, but I didn't seem to find one... I recently purchased the Plantronics Voyager 510, I love it. My problem with it is that it obviously doesnt have caller ID, and if I am not near my phone it's a guessing game. Is there some sort of application that communicates to me via the earpiece who is calling me? Perhaps something that would say "Call from *blank*" I'm not sure if what I am asking for is absurd, or if other people have asked this before.

I've never heard of anything like that. Bluetooth only works within 30 feet. You're never really to far to just go look at the phone if knowing who is calling is that important.

There are headsets that have Caller ID on the outside of the headset but I'm not aware of one that actually speaks.

I had this on a regular phone but it ended up being more of an annoyance since it would announce through the speakers as well when I wasn't using the headset. Turning the announce feature off and on all the time got old fast.
