Question Help! 7290 and Motorola HS850 connectivity... - 08-21-2006, 10:48 AM

Hello,

I've just gotten a 7290. I decided I wanted a bluetooth headset so I ordered the Motorola HS850 off ebay. It did not come with any user manual but I thought it should be fairly easy to setup. My bluetooth is enabled on my blackberry, I have made it discoverable as well. But it won't detect the headset. Is there something else I need to do??? Has anyone ever experienced this problem? Thanks in advance!

Susan

You have to make the headset discoverable also.

Wirelessly posted (Cingular 7130c: BlackBerry7130/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Make sure the boom is closed. Then press and hold the button on the Bluetooth until the light stays solid blue. Then open the boom and tell the blackberry to detect a new device. When it funds it, it will ask you to enter a pin number, use 0000.
