Default Blackberry HS 655 doesn't auto connect? - 03-19-2007, 05:41 PM

I have the Pearl and Blackberry HS 655. If I'm at work, I'll put my phone down on the desk, but sometimes I leave the HS 655 in my pocket (connected in the carrying case/charger thing). So the HS 655 is sitting in my pocket like a pen.

Then if I get up and go to the bathroom, I'll leave my phone on my desk, but since I left the HS 655 in my pants, the 655 comes with me, and obviously I'll go out of range.

Then when I sit back at my desk, I'm still disconnected. Shouldn't the HS 655 automatically reconnect to my Pearl once its back in Range? Like have an auto sensor thing?

The Pearl and the Desktop manager has that. When I walk away with my phone and then come back, a pop up will say something to the effect that the Pearl is back in range with the Desktop manager, do I wish to reconnect.

You guys know what I'm talking about?

Yes. Supposedly it's supposed to reconnect but I've never had very good luck with it reconnecting after getting out of range. I had the same problem with my 7100t and other BT headsets.

Wow that sucks. I wonder if the phone or the HS 655 needs to get updated.

Does anyone know of any confirmed BT headsets that will for sure auto connect when back in range?
