Default Blackberry 8800 Bluetooth Synchronisation - 03-19-2007, 08:21 PM

Dear All,

I am pulling my hair out!

I am trying to set up Blackberry Desktop Manager version 4.2.1.8 to synchronise via bluetooth, I have read most of the post's with no success.

I have a work HP nx7400 laptop with the Blackberry software installed, this laptop has built in bluetooth, I have removed the third party HP bluetooth software, but I have had to re-install it, due to the fact Windows SP2 drivers do not seem to install, this all works fine by USB, but would like to work without wires, can anyone help me!!!!!!

PLEASE PLEASE.............................

Unfortunately, it is not going to work.

BlackBerry will only do a Bluetooth sync using the native Windows driver. Some bluetooth adapters, like yours, and like the one in my IBM ThinkPad, will not work with the Windows native drivers, only with the WIDCOMM drivers. So, if you have to use WIDCOMM drivers because of your hardware, you are not going to be able to do a bluetooth sync with your BlackBerry.

You should E-mail [email address] and tell them they should add WIDCOMM bluetooth support for BlackBerry devices. Most people (and PC device manufacturers) use WIDCOMM because it is far and away superior to the native Windows drivers.
