Default 8700g BlueTooth will not enable - 04-16-2007, 03:44 AM

I was using my Plantronics BlueTooth headset no problem for a month.
Then I lost my connection.
Now all of a sudden, when I go to Options>BlueTooth>Enable.
My BB 8700g does not Enable.
It just stays in Disable mode.
I pulled my battery, pulled the SIM card and no change.
is there another setting Im missing somewhere?
Thanks Brad

I have exactly the same problem. I used to leave bluetooth enabled all the time and connect the Plantronics M2300 as and when needed; this used to work perfectly. Then, it got to the point where it wouldn't connect until I switched off the BB, re-started it, re-enabled bluetooth then re-connected the headset. Now it's permanently disabled, like yours. I've done all the reset stuff as well, to no avail. It's pretty irritating to say the least and I haven't found a solution yet; people I've contacted just keep passing the buck......

Yotsman50,
I was on with the tech for about 1/2 hr trying to fix this problem.
I admitted Id dropped my phone about 4 times from waist high.
He didn't right away tell me it was my fault.
He had enough patience to guide me through all the upgrade and reset procedures before we both decided it might be because I dropped the thing.
I still think its kind of weird only the BlueTooth option doesn't work and everything else does if its a physical dropping issue.
I really like the tech help though, good people, or atleast he was.
Also, I'm a bit of a clutz and I am amazed everytime I drop this thing it still works.
I'm counting my lucky stars I haven't had to buy a new phone.
Brad
